Emmie is an environmental regulation specialist with over 10 years’ experience administering Queensland’s Environmental Protection Act 1994 and assessing and ensuring compliance with complex approvals. She has managed the assessment of regulated activities across diverse industries, including resources and mining, chemical manufacturing, sewage and water treatment, waste disposal, and extractive operations such as quarrying. In recent years, Emmie has led the assessment and negotiation of complex resource approvals and management plans, including progressive rehabilitation and closure plans under Queensland’s environmental regulatory framework.
Her strong foundation in project management and stakeholder engagement has enabled Emmie to deliver streamlined approval pathways and tailored project support. With experience working on-site, she understands the practical challenges of implementing approvals and environmental management systems.
Emmie’s government background, combined with her advanced communication and negotiation skills, equips her to manage stakeholders at all levels effectively. She has consistently fostered collaborative relationships with applicants and industry representatives, ensuring high-quality regulatory outcomes and compliance solutions that balance environmental protection with operational needs.
