Callum has 13 years’ experience in environmental regulation and compliance. His experience in the resources sector spans QLD and NSW coal basins, and in recent years has involved the management and delivery of complex approvals and management plans for Narrabri Coal Mine. This has involved developing responses to technical agencies including NSW DCCEEW Water Group and the Independent Expert Advisory Panel for Mining (through Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure).

Callum has built strong relationships with clients to deliver approvals advice, management plan development and implementation, management system reviews, and project management support. He has worked on-site and has an appreciation for operational delivery of approvals and management systems.

Callum leads Onward’s environmental management discipline with a focus on achieving high-quality outcomes for clients in post-approval project delivery and implementation. He has worked in state government roles, leading regulatory inspections across coal, gas, and heavy industry in Central QLD. Now a certified lead auditor, he has a methodical and accurate approach to auditing and compliance.
